Frequently Asked Questions
What if I don’t consider myself an especially fearful person?
This isn’t only for moms who feel “full of fear.” Honestly, I wish every mom could have this. Even if you feel calm now, birth is unpredictable—and unexpected turns can leave even confident moms walking away with regret or trauma if they weren’t prepared to process it.
When you prepare your mindset ahead of time, you’re ready for more than one “perfect plan.” You’ve already built tools for peace and resilience, no matter what unfolds. Unshaken gives you the kind of preparation that every mom deserves: peace, confidence, and a birth story you can carry with strength.
What if my birth doesn’t go the way I want?
That’s the point of this course: to prepare you for how you will respond with peace across multiple outcomes. You’ll practice visualizing different possibilities—so whether labor starts on its own or with induction, whether you have a vaginal birth or a C-section—you’ll already know how to stay grounded and confident.
I’ve already taken a birth class. How is this different?
Most classes focus on logistics: stages of labor, breathing, interventions. Helpful, yes—but they rarely prepare your heart and mind for the unexpected. Unshaken is about your inner preparation: breaking through fear, practicing peace, and protecting your birth story from regret. It complements, not replaces, your other birth prep.
What if my last birth was traumatic—will this be too painful to revisit?
Unshaken is designed with deep compassion for moms carrying hard stories. You’ll be gently guided to release regret, process lingering fear, and reclaim your strength—at your own pace, with practical tools that help you move forward.
That said, I want to be clear: I am not a therapist or medical professional. This course is not a substitute for professional mental health or medical care. If you’re currently in therapy or considering it, this work can beautifully complement that healing journey, but it’s not meant to replace it.
Think of Unshaken as emotional and mindset preparation—giving you tools for peace in birth—while your healthcare providers and therapists remain your partners for medical or clinical care.
Do you take a natural birth philosophy?
I believe birth is first and foremost a natural human event. For most healthy women, the body is fully capable of giving birth without medical assistance, and I want moms to feel the freedom and confidence of trusting that design.
That said, I also know that medical settings, interventions, and even emergencies are sometimes part of the story. My own experiences have run the gamut: an “emergency” C-section, a planned C-section, a planned unmedicated VBAC in the hospital, an “accidental” birth at home, and even a planned unassisted birth at home. And you know what? They were all beautiful in their own way.
I don’t pretend interventions come without side effects—but I also don’t believe your birth should feel like a test you either pass or fail. We do the best we can with the birth we’re given, and that is enough.
Unshaken exists to help you feel calm, confident, and proud of your story—whether it unfolds with no interventions or with every tool available.
Does this cover [insert specific fear]?
Yes. The whole point of Unshaken is to give you a framework you can use for any fear that comes up—even ones that aren’t specifically named in the course.
The Breakthrough Library includes guided processes for many of the most common fears (like pain, health concerns, tearing, induction, C-section, interventions, or losing control). But more importantly, the course trains you to use the same breakthrough process for yourself in any circumstance.
That means you’re not limited to a preset list—you’ll have tools to meet fear with peace whether it shows up in pregnancy, in labor, in postpartum, or even in other areas of life. This isn’t just a birth course. It’s a life-long framework for turning fear into peace.
I’m short on time—how much does this take?
You’ll have a full framework fast, and ongoing tools that grow with you. The first several modules give you the full framework for breaking through fear and preparing your mind for peace. You can move through them in a single weekend if you’d like—so you don’t need weeks or months to get started.
From there, the daily practices (like the Pocket Breakthroughs™ and visualizations) only take a few minutes to 15 minutes per day. They’re designed to fit into real life, even at the end of pregnancy when you’re exhausted or busy.
And if you want to go deeper, the later modules are there to help you process past birth trauma, integrate your story, and prepare your support team. You can take your time with these—letting the course support you not just once, but throughout your whole pregnancy and even into postpartum.
I’m already late in pregnancy (even 40 weeks!)—is it too late for me?
Not at all. The tools in Unshaken are designed to support you whether you’re months away from birth or days away. Even a single session can shift how you feel heading into labor, giving you relief and calm right when you need it most.
If you’re at 40 weeks, you can dive straight into the quick “Pocket Breakthroughs™” and guided tracks in the Breakthrough Library. These short practices are designed for in-the-moment use—helping you clear fear and settle into peace right before (and even during) labor.
And if you have more time, you’ll find deeper practices and reflections you can continue into postpartum, so the benefits don’t end when your baby arrives.
It’s never too late to prepare for peace. Even today can make a difference.
Is this a Christian or faith-based course?
No. My own healing journey came through a lot of mindset work and emotional release — and yes, through my faith. I’m a Christian, and that lens shaped how I walked through fear and found peace again. But this course is for every mom. You don’t have to share my faith to feel safe here. I’ll share my perspective, and you get to take what serves you.
